
Two persons have been confirmed dead and six others injured following a lone accident along the Oyo-Ogbomoso road on Friday morning.
The crash, which occurred around 7:00 a.m. near the Ipeba area, involved a commercial Nissan vehicle that reportedly collided with rocks placed as barricades by a construction company.
Sources said the accident claimed the lives of the driver and a female passenger, whose identities had yet to be disclosed at the time of filing this report.
Officials of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) from the Oolo Unit were said to have responded promptly to the incident.
The injured victims were reportedly taken to Bowen University Teaching Hospital for treatment, while the bodies of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Teaching Hospital.
