“The session was an excellent chance for participants to learn from one another while also exchanging skills, knowledge, and experience. And as you are all aware, such lessons are highly important for the advancement and expansion of the women’s game. A new generation of coaches is to be developed and given power through this effort.

“The workshop’s objectives included pairing gifted coaches with top-notch mentors, helping coaches perform better in their existing roles, offering coaching assistance and support for career advancement, and establishing a global network of female coaches,” Bintinlaye said.

Also speaking, Sport Administrator, Mr Bintinlaye Jibola Kabiru commended Hon Marooph Bukoye Bintinlaye for sponsorship.

In his words, “during the grand finale of the second edition of Honourable Marooph Bintinlaye Football Game, one of the promises he made is that he will sponsor 5 coaches on a 3 Days Workshop. These are coaches whose teams perform extremely well. Today, the promise is fulfilled.

The Lead Instructor at H & B Global Sports, Ambassador Henry Abiodun said the consultancy and business management company aims at provision of efficient and long lasting solutions to its clientele.

Abiodun, who is also an instructor with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF)/Confederation of African Football (CAF), said, “we are here for the modern day Football Coach Workshop. We have up-to-date equipment and modern strategies. We want to tune the heads of our professional coaches. Mentally, we want them to know that today’s football is different from yesterday’s.

“Today’s football has to do with a lot of technology, knowledge in the area of data, (sic) analysis, and that is why we are introducing them all of these right now and they will put it into use.

“There is a lot for them to take home. The era of focus on the physical fitness is gone and now we have to strike a balance where you must – on daily basis – work on developing your players through the areas of fitness, such as intellectual, physical, psychological, technical and medical fitness.

“We have made them go through data and video analysis, methods of coaching, the progression and all.”

The five coaches are Messrs Adeshina Teslim Adewale of Focus Football Academy, Adebisi Wale Bashir (Aboto) of Offa Pillars Club, Giwa Kabir Babatunde of KBG FC, Asimiyu Oladunmoye of Honourable Ootu Boys and Kamilu Olamilekan Olagoke (Igwe) of Bulala FC.
