A chieftain of the People’s Democratic Party in Kwara State, Honourable Marooph Bukoye Bintinlaye has congratulated the Aremo of Offa, Professor Jamiu Mosobalaje Oyawoye on the occasion of his birthday.
Oyawoye is the first African professor of Geology, the Baba Adinni of Kwara State, former National Secretary and National President of Offa Descendants’ Union (ODU), Chairman of Board of Trustees, DOIT-Fund, a member of Offa Council of Elders, amongst other decorations.
In a statement signed by Honourable Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye Media, on Friday, he wrote “I wholeheartedly join the entire world, Africa, Nigeria, Kwara and Offa to celebrate a living icon, Professor Mosobalaje Oyawoye, FAS, FNMG, CON, OON on the occasion of his birthday.
“Sir, you are a living legend with timeless legacies who upholds both our tradition and novel ideas and principles. You participated in, saw, and breathed history.
“Everyone would agree that you are a mentor and a global icon with unparalleled legendary status. You have enlightened numerous academic citadels on and off the African continent.
“I send Prof. Oyawoye my best wishes for a long life, good health, and more fulfillment as he ages gracefully.”
