Alhaji Aliyu Mohammed Adebayo’s turbaning ceremony followed the Supreme Court dismissal of the appeal filed by the former Balogun Gambari of Ilorin, Alhaji Abdulkareem Laaro Balogun, challenging his removal by the Emir of Ilorin, Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu-Gambari CFR.
The judgment which was delivered on February 18, 2022, has finally put an end to the 17-year-old legal battle.
