Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate for the All Progressives Congress (APC), has outlined requirements Peter Obi, the candidate for the Labour Party (LP), must satisfy before debating with him.
After Obi made his manifesto available for review by Nigerians, Tinubu promised to debate him.
Speaking via Festus Keyamo, the campaign team’s spokesman, Tinubu demanded that before a debate could take place, Obi outline his accomplishments while serving as the governor of Anambra State.
Any political party Obi creates must have a name, according to Keyamo.
Before requesting a debate, he advised Obi to reveal those who he had mentored in politics and who were still with him.
“Before Obi can stand shoulder to shoulder with Asiwaju to debate, he should first release a manifesto for scrutiny; then he should list his tangible achievements as Governor of Anambra State compared to the tangible achievements of Asiwaju as Governor of Lagos State.
“Then he should list those he has mentored in politics from the days of his being Governor who is still with him now; then he should tell us any political party he has either formed or partnered to form and which he still belongs to today.”
