The National Director Contact and Mobilization for Atiku Care Foundation (ACF), Honourable Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye has on behalf of the ACF and his family, sent warm greetings to the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on his 76th birthday.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON, was born 25 November 1946.

A statement issued by his Media Aide, on Saturday, said Bintinlaye extolled “the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, the political figure and conscientious public worker for his commitment to nation-building since his early years, remaining involved in humanitarian work, politics, and government, and achieving success in every task.

“Your victory at polls come 2023 general elections is assured, In Sha Allah azzawajallah.

“As the former president of Nigeria, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo has said, no Nigerian vice president acted in the stead of his principal as much as former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar.

“He stated, “…he (Atiku) had occasion to preside a few times that I was out of the country on duty. On those occasions, he was in charge of the FEC meetings and no Nigerian chief executive has devolved to his deputy as much as I did to Atiku.

” “I did not need to designate him ‘acting president’ because the constitution is clear; once the president is not available, the vice president automatically acts with full powers, and he consults when and if he considers it necessary.

” “But since I was not absent from home for 104 days at a time, people may not know that Atiku actually stood in for me whenever I was out (of the country).
“You have a man who has what it takes in experience, exposure, lessons that he has learnt and he has learnt his lessons. You have a man who has what it takes at this time for us to have a change and we need a change for the better.”

“You led the Economic Management Team that paid off Nigeria’s debt, and privatization of the telecom and cement industries exploded Nigeria’s GDP and created jobs.

“You brought technocrats into government and chaired the National Economic Council that brought GSM into Nigeria, this act stabilised the Naira.

“You led the Obasanjo administration’s efforts to restore peace, law and order during the Sharia crisis of 2000. And in your private life, you co-founded one of the largest oil and gas, and ports services firms in Africa in the 80s. You end up employing more people than any state governments through that company, and other companies in your Priam group of companies.

“On education, you distinguish yourself as a upholder of education as you are proprietor of the American University of Nigeria, Yola, which is one of the best private universities in Africa, as well as the first American-style university in Sub-Saharan Africa.

“Through that institution, you have given full scholarship to over a hundred students, including some of the #ChibokGirls.

“You are indeed the president-in-waiting.

“We note your commitment over the years in ensuring fluidity of ideas, teamwork and harmony, and efficient transitions of policies into gains for Nigerians, affirming that your historic leadership roles, will be etched in the sands of time for eternal recognitions.”

Bintinlaye joined family, friends and political associates, particularly members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), in celebrating .

Honourable Bukoye Marooph Bintinlaye thereafter prayed for the well-being of Atiku Abubakar and his family.
