The federal government has reported that this year’s flood has affected 3,219,780 people nationwide and claimed the lives of 612 people.

In addition, 1,427,370 people have been internally displaced as a result of the flood, and 2,776 people have been hurt.

181,600 homes have been damaged as a result of the circumstance, and 123,807 homes have been completely demolished.

A total of 392,399 hectares of agriculture have been devastated, along with 176,852 hectares that have only suffered partial damage.

However, Sadiya Farouq, the minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management, and social development, verified the provision of aid to the 21 flood-affected states.

At the Crowther Memorial Primary School Camp in Onitsha, five women from the flooded towns of Anambra State have given birth to children.
