… Commends President Tinubu, Governor AbdulRazaq Over Swift Security Interventions

The Executive Director of Administration and Human Resources at the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Hajia Bilqis Jumoke Sanni, PS (Rtd), expresses shock over the tragic attack in Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, which led to the loss of innocent lives.

Hajia Sanni extends her condolences to the families of the victims and the entire Kaiama community

She stated that the incident is a painful tragedy that tells the urgent need for sustained efforts to combat violent extremism and insecurity.

She commends the Executive Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, for his prompt, compassionate, and decisive response to the incident.

Governor AbdulRazaq’s immediate visit to Kaiama, accompanied by service chiefs and members of his cabinet, to commiserate with the affected community and assess the situation firsthand, reflects responsible and people-centred leadership.

Hajia Sanni further applauds the Governor for personally visiting President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, to brief him on the security situation, a move that demonstrated urgency, responsibility, and effective intergovernmental coordination.

This engagement led to the President’s approval of the immediate deployment of an Army battalion to the affected area under the counter-offensive operation codenamed “Operation Savannah Shield.”

She equally commends President Tinubu for the swift approval of Operation Savannah Shield, describing it as a timely and decisive intervention that reinforces the Federal Government’s commitment to protecting lives, restoring peace, and confronting violent extremism across the country.

As a representative of Kwara State on the Board of the North Central Development Commission, Hajia Bilqis Jumoke Sanni reassures the people of Kaiama and Kwara State at large of the Commission’s support for peace, stability, and post-crisis recovery efforts within the North Central region.

She prays for the repose of the souls of the departed, strength for the bereaved families, and lasting peace and security in Kaiama and its environs.
