The Lagos State Police Command has declared political activist and Sahara Reporters publisher, Mr. Omoyele Sowore, wanted over an alleged plot to incite public disorder and obstruct traffic across major routes in the state.

Commissioner of Police, Mr. Olohundare Jimoh, made the disclosure on Monday while addressing journalists at the Iyana-Oworo end of the Third Mainland Bridge.

According to Jimoh, the police had received credible intelligence indicating plans by Sowore and his associates to mobilise protests at strategic locations, including the Third Mainland Bridge, Lekki Tollgate, and Freedom Park — areas known for heavy vehicular movement.

He said the Command would not fold its arms and allow anyone to plunge the state into chaos, warning that those found instigating unrest would face the full wrath of the law.

“Sowore should report himself to the nearest police station immediately or risk being arrested wherever he is found,” the police boss declared. “The Lagos State Police Command will deal decisively with anyone attempting to disturb public peace or block our roads.”
