Bala Mohammed, the governor of Bauchi State, has praised Babagana Zulum, the governor of Borno State, for his effective leadership.
Mohammed, a governor for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), made the remark yesterday in Bauchi when Zulum visited Mohammed to express his condolences following the passing of his older brother, Mr. Bappa Mohammed.
The governor claims that the people of the Northeast and the nation as a whole are proud of Zulum’s leadership style.
“Professor Zulum, you have carved a niche for yourself as a leader that is giving us a beacon of hope in this country.
“You have done so much and, of course, your leadership style is worthy of emulation.
“Your leadership has brought pride to all of us in this part of the country in the Northeast. You dared all the miscreants that are bombarding us, the charlatans and Boko Haram, have evaporated.
“Today, even Mr President has the pride of being associated with you. You are the most visited person by Mr President and that has spoken volumes,” the governor said.
Zulum claimed he had come to Bauchi State to offer condolences to the governor, his family, and the locals.
Before his retirement roughly ten years ago, he worked as a deputy director at the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
