The senator representing Kwara South Senatorial district and deputy majority leader, Senator Oyelola Ashiru, has inaugurated Community Development Officers (CDO), tasking them to drive development in their respective communities.

During his keynote address, Senator Ashiru emphasized the importance of community development and the role these officers would play in shaping the future of Kwara South. He charged the officers to work tirelessly towards the development of their communities, ensuring that the benefits of progress are shared equitably among all residents.

The Senator expressed his commitment to supporting the officers in their endeavors, promising to provide the necessary resources and guidance to enable them to discharge their duties effectively.

He also urged the officers to remain committed to their mandate, working collaboratively with community leaders and stakeholders to identify and address the unique needs of each community.

Speaking at the inauguration, the Senior Legislative Aide, Hon. Benjamin Oyinloye, urged the 70 inaugurated Community Development Officers to take up their responsibilities and work assiduously towards the development of their communities, stressing that their efforts will be instrumental in shaping the future of the communities.

He assures them that with senator Ashiru’s leadership and the dedication of these officers, the prospects for progress and development in the region look promising.

The inauguration ceremony which took place at the Senator’s Constituency Office in Ajase-IPO, was attended by prominent dignitaries, including Hon. Owolabi, Kwara State House Assembly Member representing Share/Oke-Ode, Hon. Adetiba Former Kwara State House of Assembly Deputy Speaker, Hon. Tajuedeen Abioye, Hon. Ganzy, Hon Jare, among others.
