The Lagos State Government has demolished the luxury automobile showroom owned by popular social media influencer and car dealer, Waris Olayinka Akinwande, widely known as Ola of Lagos.
The facility, identified as OOL Autos, was reportedly brought down on Saturday, October 11, 2025, as part of the state’s ongoing enforcement campaign against illegal structures.
Although the government is yet to issue an official statement on the matter, sources suggest that the structure was erected beneath a high-tension power line — a clear violation of urban planning and safety regulations.
The demolition, according to reports, falls within the state’s broader drive to restore order to its urban space and ensure strict compliance with physical planning laws. Similar crackdowns have been witnessed in areas such as the Trade Fair Complex, Lekki, and Abule Egba, where structures without proper approval or those obstructing public infrastructure were recently pulled down.
Government officials have consistently maintained that the exercise is not targeted at individuals but is a necessary step to safeguard lives, reduce environmental hazards, and prevent flooding across the metropolis.
