KWHA Speaker, Rt Hon Danladi Hails Renewal Champions Movement for Supporting Moro Residents

The Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Yakubu Danladi Salihu, has applauded the philanthropic efforts of Dr. Ajani Abiola Joshua, founder of the Renewal Champions Movement, for his commitment to community upliftment through humanitarian and educational support.

The commendation came during an empowerment programme organized by the group yesterday, Wednesday, October 8, 2025, in Shao, Moro Local Government Area, where cash palliatives and educational materials were distributed to residents across various wards.

Rt. Hon. Danladi, who was represented at the event by Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi Adato, Kwara State House of Assembly member representing Ojomu/Balogun Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Health and Nutrition, described Dr. Ajani as “a selfless and visionary individual whose generosity reflects the true essence of leadership and service.”

He said the gesture was a timely intervention that would ease the burdens of the less privileged and encourage educational pursuit among young people.

“The kind of initiative demonstrated by Dr. Ajani today shows a deep understanding of what it means to give back to society. Such humanitarian efforts complement government’s social support programmes and deserve all commendation,” the Speaker stated.

The founder, Dr. Ajani Abiola Joshua, in his remarks, said the initiative was designed to support members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and residents of Moro communities, adding that the movement would continue to implement people-centered interventions that promote welfare and education.

The event, moderated by Hon. Abdulateef Adebara, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Humanitarian Affairs, featured a thought-provoking lecture delivered by Islamic scholar Sheikh Sohibul Bayan Wal Tibyan, who emphasized the moral and spiritual importance of kindness and social responsibility.

Among the dignitaries in attendance were Hon. Lawal Ayanshola (Member representing Malete/Ipaye/Oloru Constituency), the Executive Chairperson of Moro Local Government, Hajia Mariam Abdulwasiu, who was represented by the Council Secretary, Hon. Nura Muhammad, and the General Manager of KWASSIP, Dr. Tejidini Abdulwasiu Olayinka.

The event drew party leaders, community stakeholders, and residents, who lauded the Renewal Champions Movement for its consistent efforts in promoting social welfare and empowerment across Moro Local Government.
