The Federation of Ibadan Students’ Union (FIBSU), under the leadership of Aare Giwa Kamorudeen Olawale, has congratulated its Grand Patron, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Sen.) Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, ARUSA I, on his coronation as the Royal Father of Ibadanland.
In a goodwill message, Aare Giwa said the enthronement of the former Oyo State governor was not only “a historic milestone in the annals of Ibadanland, but also a blessing that reaffirms the resilience, culture and unity of the people.”
He described the coronation as a source of pride to Ibadan indigenes at home and abroad, stressing that Oba Ladoja’s emergence symbolised the preservation of tradition and the hope of a brighter future for younger generations.
“As students and future leaders of Ibadanland, we join the rest of our people in celebrating this monumental moment with gratitude, joy and renewed commitment to the growth of our land,” the statement read.
FIBSU, under Aare Giwa’s leadership, also prayed for a peaceful, prosperous and unifying reign for the monarch, pledging the union’s unflinching loyalty and support to Kabiyesi in his quest to further elevate Ibadanland.
“Long live Ibadanland! Long live our Kabiyesi! Long live FIBSU!” the message concluded.
