Football lovers in Offa and beyond are gearing up for another season of grassroots excitement as registration has officially commenced for the 7th Honourable’s Cup 2025.
The much-anticipated tournament is proudly sponsored by Hon. Abdulwaheed Gbenga Yusuf (JK), member representing Essa/Shawo/Igbodun Constituency at the Kwara State House of Assembly.
The competition, which has become a sporting tradition in Offa, Kwara State and neighbouring states, is scheduled to hold between September 20 and October 10, 2025.
Teams interested in participating are expected to pay a registration fee of ₦15,000.
According to the organizers, the Honourable’s Cup will not only showcase raw football talent but also strengthen unity, discipline, and youth engagement in the constituency.
Hon. Gbenga Yusuf described the tournament as part of his broader commitment to youth empowerment.
“Football is a powerful tool to bring our young people together, keep them meaningfully engaged, and give them the opportunity to showcase their potential. Over the years, the Honourable’s Cup has helped us discover talents who are now making waves in different clubs. This year, we want to take it a step further by providing even more visibility for our youths,” he said.
