The Governing Council and Board of Directors of Lens Polytechnic, Offa, Kwara State, have announced the appointment of Dr. (Mrs) Mulikat Bola Aliyu as the new Rector of the institution.
Her appointment, which takes effect from September 29, 2025, is for a single tenure of five years.
Dr. Aliyu, until recently the Deputy Rector (Academic) of The Federal Polytechnic, Offa, retired from active service after what colleagues described as a distinguished and meritorious career in academia and administration.
In a statement, the Governing Council of LENS Polytechnic expressed confidence that Dr. Aliyu’s leadership would consolidate the school’s core values of “Skills, Knowledge, and Ethics” and help position it among the leading polytechnics in Nigeria.
“She brings to the table decades of academic depth, administrative expertise, and a track record of excellence that will no doubt propel LENS Polytechnic to greater heights,” the council said.
The Governing Council, Rector, and Management of The Federal Polytechnic Offa also congratulated her on the appointment, describing it as well deserved and wishing her a successful and impactful tenure in office.
