Kwara State House of Assembly member representing Ojomu/Balogun Constituency, Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi, has rejoiced with Alhaji Razak Oyewo, the head of the Oyewo family of Eso Pataki Compound, on the occasion of his 86th birthday.
Ogunniyi, in a goodwill message earlier today, described the octogenarian as an esteemed elder, a respected community leader, and a pillar of the APC in Offa.
He lauded Alhaji Oyewo’s remarkable contributions to public service, private enterprise, and grassroots development, noting that his life remains an inspiration to the younger generation.
Born into the Oyewo family, Alhaji Razak Oyewo had a distinguished career path that saw him serve briefly in the Nigerian Police Force before joining Leadway Assurance in Kaduna in 1973.
His brilliance earned him professional training at the North London Polytechnic, London, where he became a certified Insurance Officer.
He later gained international exposure as an Insurance Executive with the London Robowton Reinsurance Ltd for three years before returning home to rise to the position of Assistant General Manager at Leadway Assurance.
After exiting corporate life, he ventured into business and community service, relocating first to Ilorin and later Offa.
In 1982, he was appointed Supervisory Councillor for Works, Lands and Housing in the old Oyun Local Government and later served as Chairman of the Owode Market Management Committee.
He also once chaired the PDP ward in Ojomu NNW.
Today, as a grandfather, father, and elder statesman, Alhaji Oyewo continues to play a pivotal role in the growth and development of Offa.
Ogunniyi said his enduring passion for the preservation of heritage and community advancement sets him apart as a true custodian of values.
He prayed for continued health, prosperity, and grace for Baba Oyewo, while joining family, friends, and well-wishers to celebrate the milestone.
