Kwara lawmaker representing Ojomu/Balogun Constituency in the State House of Assembly, Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi Adato, has been shortlisted and named recipient of the Papyrus Magazine 2025 State Houses of Assembly Award (PAMSHAA) in the category of Champion of Public Health and Human Development.
The award, which comes after what organisers described as a “careful and thorough selection process among lawmakers across the Federation”, was presented earlier today (Saturday, August 30, 2025) at The Ballroom, Palms Hotel, by Fraser Suites, Central Business District, Abuja.
In his reaction, Ogunniyi said the honour was not just a personal recognition but a testament to the collective efforts of stakeholders in Kwara’s governance.
He said, “I feel honoured to have been shortlisted for this prestigious award after a careful and thorough selection process among all State Houses of Assembly across the Federation. My profound appreciation goes to H. E. Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, CON, for creating the enabling environment for Executive–Legislative relations in Kwara State, and also to the Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Engr. Salihu Yakubu Danladi, for his dynamic and visionary leadership of the Assembly in promoting innovation, service delivery, creativity, and stability,” he said.
The lawmaker also expressed gratitude to his constituents in Ojomu/Balogun and Offa at large for entrusting him with the mandate to serve.
“With this award and national recognition, I look forward to renewing my dedication and service to the people of Ojomu Balogun Constituency and Kwara State as a whole,” Ogunniyi added.
The Papyrus Magazine State Houses of Assembly Awards (PAMSHAA) is an annual initiative that recognises exceptional state legislators across Nigeria for their contributions in areas such as lawmaking, constituency outreach, public health, human capital development, and legislative innovation.
