The Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Ladoja, will be crowned the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025.
Findings revealed that his nomination has received the formal approval of the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde.
It was further gathered that a state delegation, on Wednesday, met with Ladoja and members of the Olubadan-in-Council at his Bodija residence in Ibadan.
Confirming the development, a media aide to the monarch, Adeola Oloko, said the coronation would take place at the historic Mapo Hall in the state capital.
“Oba Ladoja will be enthroned as the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland on Friday, September 26, 2025. The ceremony is billed for the ancient Mapo Hall in Ibadan,” Oloko stated.
It will be recalled that Ladoja had, on Tuesday, held a private meeting with the kingmakers at his residence to finalise traditional and administrative procedures ahead of the coronation.
