Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu cannot personally attend to every individual seeking his attention.

Wike made the remark on Tuesday during an interview on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television, while reacting to recent comments by former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal.

Lawal had stated that he would not have coped if he were part of President Tinubu’s cabinet.

Responding, Wike said Lawal’s discontent stemmed from his failure to secure the vice-presidential ticket during the 2023 elections.

“His anger is that President Tinubu did not choose him as running mate. It is very clear. We are not kids,” Wike said.

The minister further emphasised that the president could not be accessible to all, stressing the need for citizens to channel requests through relevant cabinet members and advisers.

“Everyone cannot reach out to Tinubu, he can’t attend to everyone. People should meet with ministers and advisers,” he added.
