Former member of the House of Representatives for Wukari/Ibi Federal Constituency, Danji Usman, has officially resigned his membership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and joined the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

Usman made the announcement on Saturday in Jalingo, stressing that the decision was aimed at providing him with a fresh platform to actualise his political ambition ahead of the 2026/2027 general elections.

He expressed appreciation to his supporters across Southern Taraba, within the state, and in the diaspora for their steadfast support since his exit from the APC.

“Your support is evidence of our shared vision to rescue the people of Taraba from the grip of bad governance,” Usman stated.

Speaking on his choice of party, the former lawmaker explained that the move followed what he described as careful consideration, due diligence, and wide consultations.

According to him, “The ADC provides a viable platform for engaging in the democratic process and promoting people-centred policies.”

He further urged his loyalists to rally behind his new political base.

“I call on all my supporters, well-wishers, and advocates of good governance to back this movement. Together, we can empower the underprivileged, improve livelihoods, and build a Taraba where equity and justice prevail,” he declared.
