Oroki Crystals Club, a foremost Osun-based social club, joined hands with the Osun Osogbo Medical Heritage to deliver free medical care during this year’s Osun Osogbo Festival.

The outreach, held on August 7, 2025, at the palace of the Ataoja of Osogbo, witnessed hundreds of residents trooping out to benefit from the gesture.

Beneficiaries were attended to by medical personnel from the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital who provided drugs, medical advice, and referrals for further treatment.

At the close of the exercise, no fewer than 250 people had benefitted.

A touching highlight of the programme was the presentation of a wheelchair to a person living with disability, Ustaz AbdulRazak Ismail Eleweomo, who expressed gratitude to the club for restoring hope and dignity to his life.

The Ataoja of Osogbo, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, Larooye II, who was represented by Elder Abolade, showered royal blessings on the Oroki Crystals Club for its commitment to the wellbeing of the Osogbo community.

Speaking at the event, the President of Oroki Crystals Club, Crystal Muideen Bello, said the club was established to contribute positively to Osogbo’s growth and to uplift its people in various spheres of life.

He noted that the outreach was part of the club’s long-term vision to promote health and wellness among indigenes.

On his part, the Chairman of the Health Committee, Crystal Adekola Adebowale, explained that the club’s partnership with health officials was crucial in reaching vulnerable residents who hardly have access to adequate healthcare.

The National Orientation Agency (NOA), Osogbo LGA, also graced the outreach as part of its community engagement activities.

Deputy Director and Community Orientation Officer, Mrs. Riyike Pade-Omishakin, commended the club’s intervention and described it as a model of community-driven development.
