Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda, has proceeded on a three-week medical leave to attend to health concerns.
This was disclosed in a statement issued on Thursday by the Commissioner for Information and Culture, Bala Salisu Zango.
Quoting the governor, Zango stated: “Taking the necessary steps to prioritise my health is essential so I can continue to serve effectively and make the best decisions for our state.”
According to the statement, Deputy Governor Malam Faruk Lawal has been assigned to assume full responsibilities of the governor during the period.
Governor Radda expressed confidence in his deputy’s capacity to steer the affairs of the state, assuring that government programmes, initiatives and projects will proceed without disruption.
The statement added that the administration anticipates the governor’s return in good health to continue his service to the people.
