Green Lunar Nigeria Limited has presented the inaugural edition of the Late Major O.O. Odina Award for Excellence to two outstanding students of the Nigeria Military School (NMS), Zaria, in honour of its founding chairman.

The awards, which were instituted to promote academic excellence and military discipline, were presented during the school’s recent graduation ceremony.

The Overall Best Graduating Student received ₦100,000, while the Best Graduating Students in the Military Wing and Academic Wing were awarded ₦50,000 each.

All two recipients also got commemorative plaques.

The award is named after Major O.O. Odina, a respected military officer and founder of Green Lunar Nigeria Limited. The award was present by Olaniyi Odina, the Chief Executive Officer of the company.

Mr Olaniyi Odina said the initiative reflects the late officer’s enduring values of service, discipline, and integrity.

The CEO said: “Major Odina’s legacy lives on, not just in the company he built, but in the values he embodied. We are proud to support the Nigeria military school in nurturing future leaders through this award.”

He added that the award would become a permanent feature of the school’s graduation calendar.
