Ebonyi State Governor, Rt. Hon. Francis Ogbonna Nwifuru, has approved the suspension of 85 senior government officials for a period of one month without pay, citing dereliction of duty following their failure to attend a critical state function.
The suspension, which takes immediate effect, was conveyed in an official statement issued on Monday by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Dr Monday Uzor, and made available to journalists in Abakaliki.
According to the statement, the suspended officials include:
25 Commissioners
14 Senior Special Assistants (SSAs)
24 Special Assistants (SAs)
22 Permanent Secretaries
