The Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, Kano State, has commenced admission into its 12th Regular Course Degree Programmes for the 2024/2025 academic session.

This was disclosed in an official statement signed by the Registrar, Barr. Ekpere Fidelis Ezeugwu, noting that the online application portal will be accessible from Monday, July 28, 2025, and will close on Monday, September 8, 2025—providing a six-week window for eligible candidates to apply.

Admission Requirements

Prospective applicants must:

Be Nigerian citizens by birth, with a valid National Identity Number (NIN).

Have sat for the 2025 UTME and obtained a minimum score of 180, selecting the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, as their first-choice institution.

Possess a minimum of six credits in WAEC or NECO, including English Language and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.

Be between 16 and 21 years of age as of 31st October 2025.

Meet physical standards: minimum height of 1.67 metres (males) and 1.64 metres (females). Males must also have a minimum chest measurement of 86 cm.

Be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.

Not be married or pregnant at the time of admission.

Application Process

Applicants are to visit www.admission.polac.edu.ng to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) and make a non-refundable payment of ₦6,000, which covers the Post-UTME Examination fee, via any commercial bank.

Candidates must complete the online form, print it out, and upload scanned copies of their SSCE result, birth certificate, and certificate of origin. These documents must be presented at the Academy during the aptitude test phase.

Selection Procedure

All applicants will undergo a Computer-Based Aptitude Test (CBT) at the Academy’s ICT Centre. Candidates who pass the CBT will proceed to undergo automated physical and medical screenings. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews and final selection exercises. Successful candidates will be notified via email and SMS. The resumption date will be communicated in due course.

Degree Programmes

The Academy runs a comprehensive five-year academic and police training programme, culminating in the award of a Bachelor’s Degree and commissioning as an Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) upon graduation. Degree options span three faculties:

Faculty of Humanities: B.A. English, B.A. History & International Studies, B.A. Linguistics and Nigerian Languages

Faculty of Science: B.Sc. Computer Science, B.Sc. Forensic Science, B.Sc. Biological Sciences

Faculty of Social and Management Sciences: B.Sc. Accounting, B.Sc. Political Science, B.Sc. Psychology
