
The Deputy Leader of the Senate and Lawmaker representing Kwara south senatorial district, Architect Oyelola Yisa Ashiru has expressed deep sadness over the deaths of two Kwara South Traditional Rulers , the Oludofian of Idofian, Oba Muhammed Jamiu Omikunle 11, in Ifelodun Local Government Area and the Alaho of Aho-Igbada, Oba Jubril Abolaji Maranro, in Oyun Local Government Area .
Senator Ashiru described the passing of the two Monarch’s as monumental, stressing that late traditional rulers lived for their people and would be sorely missed.
Ashiru commiserates with the immediate families, particularly the Kwara south senatorial district in Kwara state, which has lost this prominent monarchs, the royal families and their entire subjects whose reign brought about remarkable progress for the ancient towns.
“I’m deeply touched by the news of the passing of HRH, Oba Muhammed Jamiu Omikunle 11, the Oludofian of Idofian in Ifelodun Local Government Area, few days after the transition of HRH, Oba Jubril Abolaji Maranro , Alaho of Aho Inaja in Oyun local government area of Kwara state.
” The Monarchs lived for their people, utilising their tools to foster unity and peace of their respective domains
“The passing of Oludofian and Alaho of Aho-Inaja, the late Oba Muhammed Jamiu Omikunle 11 and Oba Jubril Abolaji Maranro respectively have left a huge vacuum, particularly to the many who relied on their wise counsels and to the majority of their subjects who are impacted by their transformative leaderships.
Senator Ashiru prays to God Almighty to repose the souls of the late traditional rulers and be with everyone impacted by their passing.
