Oludofian: NCDC ED Jumoke Sanni Pays Tribute to Idofian, Consoles Family of Late Oba Omikunle II

The Executive Director representing Kwara State at the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Bilqis Jumoke Sanni, extends condolences to the people of Idofian and the royal family of the late Oludofian of Idofian, Oba Muhammed Jamiu Olanrewaju Adedamola Omikunle II, who passed away yesterday.

In a statement personally signed and made available to newsmen, Jumoke Sanni described the monarch’s demise as “a painful exit of a noble soul,” noting the tremendous legacy he left behind during his brief yet impactful reign.

“I am saddened by the passing of His Royal Highness, Oba Muhammed Jamiu Omikunle II, the Oludofian of Idofian. This loss is deeply personal for me, as Kabiyesi was an uncle to a close friend.

“His reign, though short, was marked by grace, humility, and a genuine love for his people. He carried the crown with honour and brought dignity to the stool of Oludofian. The news of his passing is a heavy blow to Idofian, to Kwara’s traditional institution, and indeed to all who had the privilege of knowing him.

“I extend my sincere condolences to the royal family and the good people of Idofian. May Allah grant Kabiyesi eternal rest and admit him into Al-Jannah Firdaus. Aameen.

“May the family and community he left behind find strength and unity in this moment of grief.”

Jumoke Sanni prayed for comfort for the bereaved family and peace for the entire Idofian community.
