The Senate has passed bill sponsored by Kwara South Senator, Architect Oyelola Ashiru to upgrade the Federal Polytechnic Offa to a University.
Senate on Thursday during plenary presided over by Senate President Godswill Akpabio passed Federal Universities of Technology, Offa Act (Amendment) Bill, 2025.
The bill was sponsored by the Deputy Senate Leader, Architect Oyelola Ashiru.
The bill is now awaiting assent by President Bola Tinubu.
FactualTimes recall that President Tinubu assented similarly upgrade of Polytechnic to University for Federal Polytechnic Ilaro and Federal Polytechnic Kano.
