
Ilorin, the Kwara State capital, witnessed a colourful gathering of family, friends, and dignitaries on Friday as Alhaja Taiye Mujidat Olatinwo and her twin sister, Kehinde Latifat Olatinwo, PhD, marked their 40th birthday anniversary in grand style.
The glittering event, held at E-Phoenix Hotel along Fate Road, adjacent to the Federal Secretariat, drew a distinguished crowd of guests from within and outside the state who came to celebrate the milestone of the beloved twins.
The celebrants, who are well-known in academic and social circles, were joined by members of the Olatinwo family both at home and in the diaspora.
Their family members, children, friends, and colleagues added colour to the joyful occasion with heartfelt tributes and warm wishes.
Among the dignitaries who graced the ceremony were Hon. Justice Nurein Kuranga; Dr. Waheed Idowu Olanrewaju, Medical Director of Olanrewaju Hospital; and the Deputy Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete. The event also welcomed mentors and senior colleagues from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State University, and the Kwara State Ministry of Education and Human Capital Development, who came to honour the celebrants.
Also in attendance were Barrister Akanbi, wife of the late Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, Malete; Dr. Saeedat Bolajoko Aliyu anipr, Director of University Relations; Hajia Amidat Sulaiman, Director of Press; Prof. Amuda; Prof. Sunday Awe; Alhaja Fatimah Olorungbegbe, wife of Hon.commissioner Min. of Education and Human Capital Development; Prof. Taibat M Yusuf and Dr. Ayantoye; Engr Usman Baba Jibril, Former GM KWARMA; Alhaji Fatai Adebiyi, Former Permanent Secretary Kwara State Civil Service Commission and Professor T.H Aliyu of the University of Ilorin, who attended with his wife.
The presence of Queen Saidat AWA Ibrahim added more glamour to the star-studded guest list.
The celebration featured music, dancing, cutting of a beautifully designed birthday cake, and heartfelt prayers for the twins’ continued success and long life.
Guests were treated to an array of sumptuous meals and drinks, with the lively atmosphere reflecting the deep love and respect the community holds for the Olatinwo family.
