The Special Adviser on Education, Policy Formulation and Human Capital Development to the Kwara State Governor, Dr. Adetola Ariyike Salau, on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, launched her two latest books at a colourful ceremony in Lagos State.
The books are titled “Bridging Two Worlds” and “Reimagining African Education”.
The event, which coincided with Dr. Salau’s 48th birthday, attracted an array of distinguished guests from the public and private sectors, as well as education advocates, innovators, and family members who gathered to celebrate her contributions to transforming education in Africa.
Speaking at the launch, Dr. Salau expressed profound gratitude for the overwhelming support shown by attendees, describing the day as “unforgettable.”
She said, “I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the love, support, and powerful conversations we shared. Your presence reminded me why this work matters.”
The event featured vibrant discussions around the urgent need to reform Africa’s education systems, which Dr. Salau’s books address by challenging outdated practices and proposing inclusive, future-oriented strategies.
Prominent dignitaries who graced the occasion included the Deputy Governor of Kwara State, His Excellency Kayode Alabi; Lagos State Special Adviser on Climate Change, Mrs. Titi Oshodi; and Executive Assistant to the Lagos State Governor on Project Implementation and Monitoring, Mr. Segun Sanwo-Olu.
Other notable guests were Mrs. Titi Adewusi of 9ija Kids; Mrs. Bose Joseph, Convener of the Made Women Organization; Mr. Aberuagba Abiola, Deputy Director at the Lagos State Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education; and Mrs. Ashley Immanuel, among others.
Dr. Salau thanked her guests individually, acknowledging their efforts and dedication to education, innovation, and social development. She also commended her event team, compère, volunteers, and every supporter who made the launch seamless and impactful.
“This is just the beginning of a bigger journey to reimagine education across Africa,” she said, adding that the ideas in her books are aimed at inspiring educators, policymakers, and communities to create systems that serve every child and unlock their full potential.
