A concerned resident has decried the alleged refusal of Baptist Hospital in Ejigbo, Osun State, to provide immediate medical attention to road accident victims in the absence of their relatives.
In a viral video, the eyewitness expressed frustration over what he described as a disturbing display of indifference by hospital staff, who reportedly declined to treat the injured individuals brought in for emergency care.
According to the eyewitness, the hospital insisted that no medical intervention could commence until the victims’ relatives arrived—a policy he fears could endanger lives, especially in critical situations requiring urgent treatment.
The incident has since triggered outrage among community members, raising fears that such protocols, if not reviewed, could result in avoidable deaths during emergencies.
