Israel Formally Asks United States To Join War Against Iran

Israel has officially requested military support from the United States in its escalating conflict with Iran, marking a significant development in the intensifying Middle East crisis.

The request was disclosed on Saturday by Spectacular Index via its verified X (formerly Twitter) account. “Israel officially requests the US to join the ongoing campaign against Iran,” the post stated.

This request comes amid heightened hostilities between the two nations over the past 48 hours. On Friday, Iran launched a barrage of ballistic missiles targeting key Israeli cities, reportedly in retaliation for Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) strikes on Iran’s nuclear infrastructure.

In response, Israel is believed to have conducted a retaliatory strike on Tehran, with unconfirmed reports quoting Israeli officials threatening to “burn down” the Iranian capital.

Meanwhile, The Times of Israel earlier reported that former U.S. President Donald Trump had informed Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that Washington would consider targeting Iran’s Fordo underground nuclear facility, should it become necessary to prevent Tehran from acquiring nuclear weapons.

The situation remains fluid, with regional and international actors closely monitoring for potential escalation into a broader military confrontation.
