Air India Flight Makes Emergency Landing in Thailand Following Bomb Threat

An Air India flight en route from Phuket to New Delhi was forced to make an emergency landing on Friday after a bomb threat was reported shortly after takeoff.

According to Thailand’s airport authority, the pilot of the Airbus A320 alerted air traffic control after a message suggesting the presence of an explosive device was discovered on board. The aircraft made a U-turn over the Andaman Sea and circled multiple times before safely returning to Phuket International Airport.

The incident was confirmed in an official statement posted on the Phuket Airport’s Facebook page. Flight tracking data from FlightRadar24 corroborated the aircraft’s abrupt change in course and return to the airport.

This emergency comes just a day after another tragic incident involving Air India. A separate flight bound for London crashed in the Indian city of Ahmedabad, resulting in the deaths of at least 265 people, including both passengers and individuals on the ground.

Authorities in Thailand and India have launched investigations into both incidents. No injuries were reported in the Phuket emergency landing, and all passengers were safely evacuated.
