[PHOTOS] HIM Alaafin of Oyo, Kwara Speaker, Others Grace Gbagede Oba Oloro 2025

Rt Hon Engr Salihu Yakubu Danladi, the Speaker of Kwara State House of Assembly graced Gbagede Oba Oloro 2025 event as Special Guest of Honour in a show of respect, solidarity, and support for the people of Oro Community in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

The event took place on Monday, 9th June 2025, at Oloro of Oro Palace.

This maiden and first ever cultural event named Gbagede Oba Oloro was initiated by the Oloro of Oro, Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Olufayo II as a platform for the sons and daughters of Oro to congregate; interact, and share ideas on how to promote the development of their community — Oro.

Rt Hon Engr Salihu Yakubu Danladi was ably represented by Ogbeni Seun Ogunniyi at the event.

He delivered the goodwill remark and best wishes of the Rt Hon Speaker to Kabiyesi Oloro of Oro, HRM Oba Joel Olaniyi Oyatoye Titiloye Olufayo II and the people of Oro Community.

The Speaker of the 10th Kwara State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Engr Salihu Yakubu Danladi joined Kabiyesi, the Oloro of Oro, and the people of Oro to warmly welcome His Imperial Majesty, The Alaafin of Oyo, Iku Baba Yeye, Oba Abimbola Owoade I to Oro in Irepodun Local Government Area of Kwara State.

Rt Hon Danladi congratulates the Oloro of Oro, the Central Planning Committee led by Mr. Michael Akinola Oyedepo for organizing a successful event and the people of Oro for their great cultural heritage.

He urged the traditional institutions to continue to serve as rallying point and play their customary leading role as a responsible actor and agent of development in their respective domains.

He reaffirmed the readiness and unwavering commitment of the Kwara State House of Assembly to continue to support the vision and priorities of Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq’s led administration to sustain the tempo of progress and development across all parts of the state.
