A man has expressed his disappointment on social media after being allegedly denied entry to a supermarket at the Emirate Mall in Ilorin, Kwara State, because of his daughter’s disability.
In a heartfelt video shared on TikTok, the man explained that he had come to the mall to shop for his daughter but was humiliated when a security officer asked them to leave.
“I’m very disappointed. I brought my baby here for shopping, but it’s so sad that the security officer asked us to leave because of my baby,” he said in the emotional video.
The man stated that the security guard refused them entry without giving a clear explanation, seemingly due to his daughter’s condition.
However, he later clarified that the Chief Security Officer of the mall intervened and allowed them inside.
The video quickly went viral, sparking a mix of reactions from social media users. Many condemned the initial treatment and offered support to the father and his child.
