As Muslims in Nigeria and around the world mark the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Adha, the Executive Director of the North Central Development Commission (NCDC), Hajia Bilqis Jumoke Sanni Alasonla, extends felicitations to the Muslim Ummah.
In a statement issued to commemorate the festival, Hajia Bilqis described Eid-ul-Adha as a profound season of spiritual reflection, sacrifice, and compassion.
She emphasized the need for Nigerians to draw inspiration from the unwavering devotion of Prophet Ibrahim (AS), who was willing to sacrifice his beloved son in obedience to Allah’s command.
“Eid-ul-Adha reminds us of the virtues of faith, selflessness, and devotion to the Almighty. It is also a time to renew our commitment to the service of humanity and extend kindness to the less privileged,” she said.
Hajia Bilqis urged Muslims to use the period to foster unity, strengthen familial ties, and spread the joy of the season through acts of generosity.
She also called for fervent prayers for Nigeria’s peace, stability, and economic recovery.
In her goodwill message, the NCDC Executive Director appealed to Nigerians to support and pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the Kwara State Governor, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, commending their dedication to the well-being of all citizens.
She expressed hope that the nation’s current challenges would eventually give way to lasting peace and prosperity.
“Let us be hopeful and resilient. With our collective faith and cooperation, Nigeria will overcome its present trials and emerge stronger,” she concluded.
