American R&B star Chris Brown has been remanded in custody by Manchester Magistrates’ Court following an assault charge.
The singer was denied bail by Justice Joanne Hirst during a court session on Friday. Citing the severity of the case, Justice Hirst transferred the matter to Southwark Crown Court in London, where the next hearing is scheduled for June 13, 2025.
DAILY POST reports that Brown was arrested on Thursday at The Lowry Hotel in Salford over an alleged bottle attack at Tape nightclub in Mayfair. The incident, which occurred in 2023, led to a charge of grievous bodily harm after Brown was accused of assaulting music executive Abe Diaw with a bottle.
Diaw has since filed a $16 million lawsuit against the musician, seeking damages for injuries sustained and financial losses linked to the attack.
