A British-Nigerian nursing student and rising TikTok personality, Tamilore Odunsi, was found dead in her Houston apartment just two weeks before she was due to graduate.
Odunsi, 23, known online as “Tami Dollars,” was discovered with multiple stab wounds on her kitchen floor after Houston police conducted a welfare check. Officers were reportedly alerted after blood was seen on the patio of her residence.
Inside, police encountered a second individual—a man with stab wounds found in another room. He is believed to have met Odunsi recently and was transported to the hospital in critical condition.
Odunsi had relocated from London to the United States in 2022 to pursue a career in nursing. She had been documenting her journey toward graduation on social media, recently posting a celebratory video with the caption: “I’m readdyyyyy… BSN grad in 2 weeks. Summer is 14 days away.”
Her sudden death has shocked her family and more than 30,000 online followers. A GoFundMe campaign launched to repatriate her body and cover funeral costs has raised over £29,000.
“Tami was a beautiful soul—full of light, ambition, and kindness,” her sister Georgina wrote on the fundraising page. “She was tragically murdered just days before she was set to graduate. An unimaginable loss.”
Her brother, Manny, added: “Our TikTok star. My creative director. My baby sister. Flying to America without her greeting us at the airport is a pain beyond words.”
Police have yet to release further details regarding the injured man or a possible motive for the killing.
