The Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, in conjunction with the Olubadan Advisory Council, has revoked the appointments of two Mogajis over allegations of lacking the necessary backing from their respective families.

The affected chiefs are Chief Musilu Yekini Olaoye of Peluseriki Compound, Isale Osi, and Chief Rasaki Funso Ayinde Oguntobi of Oloola Ogungbesan Compound, Bode—both within Ibadan.

The revocation, which takes immediate effect, was approved at a meeting of the Olubadan Advisory Council held on April 7, 2025.

According to the Council, the decision was based on the failure of the two Mogajis to secure the endorsement and support of their family members prior to their appointments.

“The two Mogajis should henceforth stop parading themselves as Mogajis in Ibadanland,” the Olubadan warned.
