Four renowned Nigerian gospel singers have lost their lives in a tragic car accident along the Ikorodu-Sagamu Road in Ogun State.
According to a statement by Florence Okupe, the Ogun State Commander and Public Information Officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), the deceased have been identified as Evangelist Ayodeji Kekerejesu, Evangelist Iyanu Joseph, Monjolajesu Oluwapamilerin, and Opeyemi Adesina.
Okupe explained that the fatal accident occurred when the vehicle carrying the singers collided with another vehicle. All four victims, who were said to be members of the same family, died on the spot.
Extending her condolences to the bereaved families, Okupe also urged motorists to desist from over-speeding to avoid similar tragedies.
The heartbreaking incident has cast a dark cloud over the Nigerian gospel music community, which is now mourning the untimely loss of the young, talented singers.
