Chief Solomon Olugbemiga Ayoade, Chief Press Secretary to the Olubadan of Ibadanland, Oba Akinloye Owolabi Olakulehin, has assured the public that the traditional ruler is in good health.
Speaking to journalists on Monday evening, Ayoade dismissed circulating rumors suggesting that the Olubadan had passed away. He also refuted claims that the monarch had been flown out of Ibadan for medical treatment.
“By the time I left the palace around 8 p.m., everything was normal. There was no crisis. When I later contacted the palace, I was informed that Baba is hale and healthy,” Ayoade said.
He further emphasized, “The Olubadan just finished eating amala. He is perfectly fine. These are just baseless rumors. Baba is still in Ibadan; he hasn’t been flown anywhere and is doing very well.”
