Comrade Subair Aliu Opeyemi, popularly known as Aluta Floating has commended His Royal Highness, Oba Yusuf Nurudeen Alowonle Omokanye Oyekanmi II, Ilufemiloye I, the Elemona of Ilemona, as the monarch officially commissioned the Ilemona Ultra-Modern Kara/Livestock Market.
The event was held in Ilemona, Oyun Local Government, Kwara State earlier today.
Comrade Subair, a former General Secretary of the Ikotun-Ile Development Association Youth Wing (Home Branch) and a two-time councilorship candidate under the All Progressives Congress (APC), expressed his excitement at the inauguration of the market.
He praised Oba Nurudeen Awolonle for his visionary leadership and unwavering commitment to transforming Ilemona into a modern urban center.
“Oba Nurudeen Awolonle is a great leader, and everyone in Oyun LG, Kwara State, and Nigeria at large should emulate his dedication to community development.
“His consistency in turning this town into a city is commendable. May his days be long on his forefathers’ throne,” he said.
The newly commissioned Kara Market is expected to boost economic activities in the region, providing a modern facility for livestock trading and other commercial activities.
He said the project reinstates the monarch’s efforts to drive sustainable development and improve the livelihoods of his people.
Comrade Subair also took the opportunity to acknowledge the contributions of Comrade Abdulrafiu Abdullahi Opeyemi, Media Aide to NA Royal, for his role in supporting community initiatives.
A former Social Director and Vice President of the Federation of Ikotun-Ile Students Union, Comrade Abdulrafiu has been instrumental in promoting youth engagement and grassroots development.
As a former General Secretary of Ward Ikotun under the APC and a dedicated advocate for youth empowerment, Comrade Subair has consistently championed initiatives that foster community growth and political participation.
