Jamaican dancehall artist Adidja Palmer, popularly known as Vybz Kartel, has revealed that he forgave his wife, Tanesha Johnson, for her alleged infidelity during his 13-year prison sentence.
Speaking on episode 443 of the Drink Champs podcast, Kartel shared that he learned about Tanesha’s affair from his other baby mama while in prison—a revelation that left him in tears.
Despite the pain, he chose to forgive her instantly, acknowledging her humanity and the challenges she faced while he was incarcerated.
“I still respect her because I understand she’s a human being… I forgave her immediately because I understand, but I just had to move on,” he said.
Kartel also highlighted her unwavering support over the years, emphasizing that she remained by his side despite his imprisonment.
“She was there right through, but come on, I’ve been in prison for 13 years—what do you expect her to do? Save the p**sy?” he remarked.
Tanesha Johnson has played a significant role in Kartel’s life, widely recognized as his longtime partner and the mother of his children. Even while he was behind bars, she remained a public supporter, keeping their relationship intact.
Vybz Kartel was released from prison in August 2024 after serving time for two alleged murders, one of which led to a conviction and subsequent imprisonment.
