…President Vows to Intensify Efforts for Nigeria’s Prosperity

ABUJA – The All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday passed a vote of confidence in President Bola Tinubu, acknowledging his administration’s efforts in steering the country towards economic recovery.

Speaking at the APC National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting, where the vote was endorsed, President Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to Nigeria’s progress. He assured party members that his administration would continue working tirelessly to strengthen the economy and improve the lives of Nigerians.

“I appreciate this vote of confidence and accept it as a challenge to work even harder,” Tinubu said. “We will continue to focus on food security, investment, and national development. I am pleased that food prices are coming down, especially with Ramadan approaching. While global uncertainties persist, Nigeria is experiencing growth and stability.”

The President expressed gratitude to Nigerians for their trust in the APC and pledged to collaborate with all arms of government to advance national development. He also praised APC governors and party executives for their dedication.

“I am grateful for the electoral successes we have recorded across states. Our governors have embraced the needed changes, and I thank the leadership of our party, as well as members of the National Assembly, for their prompt consideration of the budget,” he added.

Emphasizing the need for unity, Tinubu commended the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) for its performance but acknowledged internal conflicts in some states. He urged the formation of committees to address these issues, calling on party leaders to remain calm and cooperative.

APC National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, lauded members for their resilience despite challenges. He reassured them that the party remains committed to fulfilling its electoral promises.

“Though the journey has been demanding, we have collectively risen to the occasion. As a ruling party, we recognize our responsibility and remain dedicated to delivering results,” Ganduje stated.

Senate President Godswill Akpabio reiterated the National Assembly’s support for Tinubu’s administration, pledging to fast-track bills that would enhance national development and economic growth.

Similarly, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas, commended the President’s bold decisions, noting that they are crucial to Nigeria’s long-term progress.

The APC NEC meeting followed a caucus gathering on Tuesday night, where party leaders praised Tinubu’s economic policies, citing a 3.84% GDP growth in the last quarter of 2024 and a downward trend in inflation.
