The Afenifere National Youths Council has confirmed the abduction of its National President, Prince Eniola Joseph Ojajuni, in Abuja. The incident occurred on Monday, February 17, 2025, and the kidnappers have demanded a ransom of ₦100 million for his release.

According to a statement signed by the National Secretary, Abiodun Aderohunmu, Prince Ojajuni sustained bullet wounds on his buttocks during the attack, further raising concerns about his health and safety.

The Council has called for his immediate and unconditional release, urging security agencies to take swift action.

In a distressing update, Prince Ojajuni himself confirmed his abduction in a post on his Facebook account, where he made a desperate plea for help.

“I am between life and death with two bullets in my buttocks, a bullet wound, with a high sugar level. My life now is dependent on both of you, who came to my mind now, and other well-meaning Nigerians whose kindness can help save my life and prevent my wife from becoming a widow or my children from becoming fatherless, as I don’t want this to be my last breath. I was kidnapped on Monday, 17th February 2025, and was told to pay ₦100,000,000 as ransom. I have till Saturday, 22nd February, to pay this money, else I will be killed. Please make payment to my wife’s account for my rescue. God bless you.
