Literacy Assured Initiative (LAI) has officially rebranded as the Advocacy for Youth and Vulnerable Development Initiative (AYVDi). The announcement was made by the organization’s Founder and Executive Director, Ahmed Adebowale, following its successful registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC).
In a statement released on Friday, Adebowale emphasized that the name change reflects the organization’s broader commitment to empowering youth, vulnerable populations, and marginalized communities in Nigeria.
“We are excited to share that our organization has undergone a transformation to serve humanity better. Following our registration with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC), we have officially changed our name from Literacy Assured Initiative (LAI) to Advocacy for Youth and Vulnerable Development Initiative (AYVDi).
“The need for this change reflects our expanded mission and commitment to empowering youth as well as vulnerable populations and marginalized communities in Nigeria. We believe that this change will help us make a more significant impact on the communities we serve.”
The organization has been at the forefront of initiatives aimed at education, digital literacy, youth empowerment, and social development, reaching thousands of beneficiaries across different communities. This rebranding signals a renewed focus on inclusive development, advocacy, and policy engagement to address pressing social issues affecting young people and underserved groups.
Adebowale reassured beneficiaries and partners that while the name has changed, the organization’s core values and dedication to service remain steadfast. He also hinted at more updates in the coming weeks.
