Group Warns Against Politicization of Land Issues Involving Tinubu’s ADC, Col. Yusuf Nurudeen Ilemona

The Ibolo Youth for Peace has issued a strong warning to Comrade Salaudeen Adeyemi Lukman (Eluku Omo-Adugbo), cautioning him against inciting the youth and the general public over land-related matters involving the Ilemona community and individuals from Offa.

The group expressed concerns that any form of agitation or misinformation regarding the issue could lead to unnecessary conflict, disrupting the long-standing peace between the communities.

According to the statement, Col. Nurudeen Yusuf, who serves as the Aide-de-Camp (ADC) to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been instrumental in fostering development, not only in Ilemona but across the broader Ibolo land, which includes Offa, Erinle, Irra, Ijagbo, Ojoku, Ikotun, Igbonna, Igbaye, and Faaji, among others.

The youth group stressed the importance of allowing traditional councils and relevant authorities to handle such disputes rather than politicizing the matter for personal or political gain.

The Ibolo Youth for Peace emphasized that Offa and Ilemona have historically maintained mutual respect and understanding, with no previous records of land disputes.

They urged all stakeholders to support dialogue and legal resolution rather than resorting to incitement or misinformation.

“We urge Salahudeen Lukman to refrain from the unholy politicization of this issue for a flimsy political victory. A good number of people from Offa have benefited significantly from Col. Nurudeen Yusuf’s empowerment programs, job opportunities, and material support. Even those who willingly sold their properties transacted at highly profitable rates,” the group stated.

The youth further called on the Offa Descendants Union (ODU) and other authorities to mediate the situation, fostering cooperation and unity among community members.

The Ibolo Youth for Peace reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that the longstanding harmony among communities in Ibolo land remains intact.

They also condemned any attempt to incite discord against notable figures from the region who have contributed positively to its growth and development.
