The Offa Engineers have introduced a transformative 5-point agenda aimed at fostering community development and economic growth.
Spearheaded by Engr. Maruf Olalekan Ajenifuja, FNIAE, the initiative focuses on infrastructure improvements, service enhancement, and strategic investments.
Unveiled on January 21, 2025, the agenda includes:
The establishment of an Engineering Centre in Offa.
The launch of a “Water for All” program to improve access to clean water.
Enhancement of technical services for improved community infrastructure.
Installation of revenue-generating digital billboards.
Strengthening partnerships and collaborations with stakeholders.
As part of its implementation strategy, the group plans to rehabilitate boreholes, train teachers across 20 secondary schools, provide artisans with modern tools, and upgrade waste management systems.
The agenda was developed in consultation with esteemed leaders, including Prof. Suleiman Adeyemi, Engr. Jaiyeola Akinola, Chief (Mrs.) Shade Omoniyi, and Prof. Nazmat Surajudeen-Bakinde, ensuring a comprehensive and inclusive approach.
The leadership has called on members to actively support the initiative through donations, dues payment, and participation in project execution. A detailed implementation roadmap is expected to be released soon.
