Reports suggest that the Nigeria Police has initiated a search for activist and politician Omoyele Sowore following a viral video he shared on social media.
Sowore, a former presidential candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), recorded the video during an encounter with police officers on the Murtala Muhammed International Airport Access Road in Lagos. The clip shows Sowore confronting the officers, urging them to stop causing traffic congestion in the area.
The video gained widespread attention online, prompting Sowore to allege in a post on his official X account on Wednesday night that the police are now searching for him.
In his response, Sowore stated his willingness to cooperate, confirming that he is currently in Abuja. He wrote, “I have been informed that the Nigeria Police Force is searching for me. I am currently in Abuja and available at their convenience.
